I operate a small orchard, 4ha of cherries, 2ha of mixed stone fruit. We sell direct to the public through our highway stall and through markets in Brisbane and Sydney. We are a small family business. I do all pruning myself and hire staff from thinning through to harvest. Cherries are very labour intensive.
As difficult as fruit growing can be, especially harvesting, I still find myself enjoying the orchard work.
while my family enjoy and use computers regularly, I am not what you would call computer literate.
I was thinking about putting some photos up every week or two, to show what is happening around the orchard. I was wondering if any one would find it interesting.
